new blog

Well when I visited my field site there was a lot going on. I had the opportunity to chat with some people, and ask them why they where trying to date online rather than meet people face to face, I also had the chance to just talk to people and get to know them better and other people got the chance to get to know me better as a person. I talked to people about certain things such as what they were looking for in that "special" person; and people got to know what i look for in my "special" person. It was just a good time for everybody. The way that people interact with each other is no different than the way you and I interact with our everyday friends. Like for instance people who want to get to know other people they look, or search, then they find a person they start a conversation and then either the other person wit either continue the conversation or they will just leave the conversation, and then close out the website. There really is not special terms that is being used, all it really is, is just a short hand of the English Lang. its almost just like text messaging. but other than that it is just a place where you can be yourself. somethings that i had questions about where why they were online instead being face to face.

questions

1. There is an ample amount of people for him to interview and to get information from, he can ask the people like why did they decide to join, and just find out lots of information.
2. In prison you have your hardcore thugs, and "killers," your "sharks, and your Minos." Also, you have those people who really have changed from the person that they were to the person there are now. Most of the time that is a positive change. On the other hand you have those who still tend to deviate from the rest of the others.
3. In prison your supposed to be hard and never show your emotions, or otherwise you will lose the respect from the other inmates. If you show emotion than you are looked at as a punk.
4.He gets the interviewer to be relaxed and just become comfortable and just be able to express themselves. They laugh, joke around and things of that nature but he still is able to come away with a good interview

I believe that this websites that I have listed above will help me in research by actually being able to interact with people who are online in search of a dating partner. The different websites, all pretty much have the same form of processing. They all ask the basic questions such as what do you do for a living, what you look for in the person that you are looking for. They also look for what kind of personality you have, and what kind of personality you would want your partner to have. They all just want you to try to be as specific as possible so that you can find that "special one."

MENUDO

Straight out of Puerto Rico, in the 1970’s came the greatest and the first talented groups within the last 30 years. This group did it all they sang, and danced. This group sold over 40 million dollars worth of records worldwide. They broke attendance records, including 13 consecutive sellout performances at the Radio City Music Hall, 200,000 fans at soccer stadium in Rio de Janeiro, over 500,000 fans at a Mexico City concert and launching the career of international superstar Ricky Martin. The name of this group is call the MENUDO.
The music group Menudo was the first international group to record an album in a foreign language. These languages include Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian, and a language called Tagalo. This language is spoken in the Philippians. The group broke so many records that they were placed in the Guinness Book of World Records. Two of Menudo’s big hits were “Quiero Ser” and “Subete a mi moto.” Some of the ex-members of the group tried to make it on their own, such as members like Ruben Gomez, but were not successful. However, there was one person who did succeed in being coming a Latin American Pop Star sensation. This young man goes by the name of Ricky Martian. Rickey joined the Menudo group at the age of twelve. An album that features young Ricky is called Can’t Get Enough, with the song titled “no one can love you more.”
Unfortunately the group members were not allowed to continue to sing, or dance in the group after age sixteen. Now there is a new group of young men who are trying to bring back the sound, performance, sellout shows, record breaking events and just an overall great sound of Pop Music. They are trying to bring back the sound and trying to be different, but keep the same routine.

David LaChapelle

Controversial. Explosive. Intriguing, and sought after author, and is considered I highly sought after photographer. This list of adjectives that I gave is a few words that describe the author/film maker David LaChapelle. Mr. LaChapelle is not only a film maker he also has a sequence of novels that he has produced. In 1996 the book LaChapelle Land, and in 1999 the second book Hotel LaChapelle were both on the New York Times Bestsellers list. These books were the most sought after photography books of all time. Mr. LaChapelle has had the chance to take pictures with all walks of life from people such as: Tupac Shakur, Lance Armstrong, Eminem, Madonna, Lil Kim, Hilary R.Clinton, and many other great people. On June 24, 2005 all across the nation a seed was planted into everybody’s mind who went to go watch one of the greatest documentaries of all time. Rize, this is a documentary talking about a new type of “dance” that was created to express the everyday life of those who are trapped, in a suppressed area of Los Angeles communities. Krumping hit the big screen then it was seen spreading across the world like a disease. Everybody wanted to learn how to do these moves and just took what they saw from the movie and added their own twist. None of these would have been possible if Mr. LaChapelle never would have documented it. So he is the reason that most of the people today want to Krump, his vision that he had about showing how it really is in the hood, to show how people deal with their problems without violence.

Hip Hop

The culture of Hip Hop is so broad that has expanded and evolved over time to grow into a "culture" that has other subcultures if you will. I mean from the UK to China and Japan, and every where else there is some form of hip hop. It does not have to be what is is here in the United States with the violence or what not, but it's just a way for people to express how they feel, or tell a story over a beat and have people listen and try to relate to it. Hip hop started as a movement and has just exploded onto something much more. In the begging there was the Run DMC's, then it started to make its way to your Grand Master Flash and the Furious 5ive. Grand Master Flash was the first person or first DJ to involve this new sound to the records that he played. He came up with the method of scratching the record. This has been adapted in to the mainstream flow of "spinging" records. To continue this journey, from the east coast and up to more of a some what of a modernized hip hop. Now you have you NWA's and Death Row Records, and you have to voice of Tupac. This one man could have taken the entire "rap game” and made it his if he wanted to. The way that he made his words come together and just make so much sense was just something that nobody was really ready for, at that moment in time. But, like every great artist there came the problems that nobody ever wants. Death. However, while the west coast was going hard the east coast gave birth to a young man known as Christopher Wallace aka the Notorious Big. Now back in the day when there was "Beef" there was really no violence that followed it. Well things have changed since then. These two well spoken young African-American artists had a beef if you will and everything just fell through the roof. First Tupac was shoot and Killed in LA, following his murder then fell the Notorious. All this to say that now you can't even disagree with out wondering if you will live to see tomorrow. The Hip Hop today really has taken a some what of a spin; however the violence has gotten worse. I guess, now today if you want to be looked as a cool person you either have to been shot, or have done some crime such as murder, or something crazy. If you tell, or if somebody tells on you they are shunned from the "cool" point if view they been looked at as a snitch.

Dizzee Rascal and Hip-Hop Culture

When you think of the words hip-hop you usally tend to just think about the African-American pecrtum of the topic. Matrer of fact Hip-Hop is an art form that has been spread all over the world and mixed in with differant cultures, races, and ethnicities. Hip-Hop to you here in America could be something totally differant, than a Hip-Hop in China, or Russia. An artist from the London makes this very evident, this person goes by the name of Dylan Mills, or better known as Dizzee Rascal. Mr. Mills grew up in a single parent home setting. He was raised by his mother. He grew up in the "hood" or the pj's better known as the projects. Mr.Mills also, had a very challengeing adolescnce. He was expelled from school four times, he as known for robbing the pizza man, and for stealing cars.

"PEER REVIE\W"

In my case the peer review really helped me out. I mean even though my paper was not like everybody else’s I still feel like I started off on the right foot. Some of my class mates that were in my group had some very good papers and that has made me want to strive harder and make my paper just as or even better. The paper topic itself is something that I feel that I can really conversate on. Even though it is presented as only if "you want to get laid come to college, if you want an education go to the libery"~ Frank Zappa. Even though it might be looking as if that’s a true statement that is not the case. I'm very thankful that we had the peer review. My paper will be better after I make my corrections and add a few things.

Hasty Generalization
In the scene where Gutter was smoking the the weed, and then went to go get the beer. The old lady was trying to speak to him, he really couldn't come to his sences and understand her. So he was hearing different things. I think that they are saying that no matter where you go to school you will always have that group, or that one person who smokes weed and does crazy things like sits in parking lots and picks thier nose(Gutter)

How i feel about the AIDS PICTURE

My personal feeling about this picture is that it makes no sence. I'm confused as to why a clothing company would want to advertise a picture of a man dying of a very serious disease. I feel like if i were the family, or the man himself that I would not want any clothing company, or for that fact i wouldn't want anybody who was not of my family, and besides the medical staff to have any kind of access to me. In the picture every body has a look of disbelief on their faces as they are watching somebody who they truely love and care about slowly die, and be in pain and suffering. If I were the man, or anybody of his family I would be very apprehenisive about leting the media have any kind of photo without receiveing any kind of money for the letting them publish my picture in their advertising. Thats just me.
